Northumberland County Show
Monday 28th May 2018 – 9AM – 6PM
Evancliffe Leathercraft will be demonstrating traditional leatherwork at the Northumberland County Show this year. See how we hand stitch leather to make our unique handcrafted leather products and have a go at Leather Stamping. Just look out for us amongst the other traditional heritage crafts demonstrators.
There are lots of other attractions to see as well, here are just a few:
Bit Pete and the Grim Reaper will thrill and excite you all as this 7 ½ tonnes awesome machine creates mass destruction!!
The Roman Cavalry training would have been fast and furious, our local pony clubbers will have thrills and spills learning some of these skills.
The Mini-Tanks are ready to roll and the great thing is they are so simple and easy to use, it’s child’s play! In fact they are designed to be driven by children 8 years and up and by adults alike.
Ben Potter is returning with his exciting birds of prey team. Watch out for free flying Sea Eagles, Vultures and a dazzling display of magnificent raptors swooping around the Castle Arena.
The Sheep Show is a humorous educational live stage show about sheep and wool. Nobby the Norfolk Horn takes centre stage while his charming, and cheeky, sheep friends are introduced. The highlight is ‘The Sheep Show Hustle’ – dancing sheep!
Gun Dog Scurry
Bring your dog along and have a go. This year we’re hoping to have qualifiers for other events around the country.
Meet the Hounds
Come in the Main Arena to meet and greet the very friendly, and delightful Traditional Fox Hounds.
Tug of War
A fantastic selection of teams will compete for this years Tug of War title in the Castle Arena. The success of last years event will mean more entries with more teams needing you to cheer them on in their quest to be the best!
Bring your child along to have a go – or watch the experts fresh from the National European Championships.
A range of unique vendors in the Street Food Market feature cuisine from all around the globe. From the exotic flavours of the far east, spicy Mexican feasts, delicate French crepes to classic Italian pizzas hand cooked in a wood fired oven or delicious curry rolls. Try something different and watch it cooked while you wait.
And much much more…
